IPX-100
IP Extension Unit
The IPX-100 is an external IP gateway for the Unicam XE and Unicam HD cameras. By converting baseband signals to and from IP streams, the IPX-100 integrates the Unicam cameras directly into the ST2110 media-over-IP network. Using the trusted SMPTE hybrid fiber optic cable, the IPX-100 provides a stable connection and supplies remote power to the connected camera head. The IPX-100 is ideal for those who are looking to adopt IP remote production while maintaining the familiar workflow of baseband live production.
Form factor
The compact 2U half-rack enclosure enables high-density mounting in an EIA rack. It is also easy to transport, making it ideal for field use. It is highly effective for a wide range of live video production applications.
Maximum cable extension
The IPX-100 is connected to the Unicam series camera head via a conventional SMPTE hybrid fiber optic cable. The IPX-100 provides remote power to the camera head up to 3500m (11,483ft.).
Option
- IP Gateway function
The IPX-100 offers an optional IP Gateway function that can utilize one of the conversion channels for external input or output, allowing SDI devices to seamlessly connect to the ST2110 media-over-IP network. This option can flexibly meet the requirements arising at the production sites, by making it possible to monitor a selected IP video stream on an SDI monitor or add an SDI source as an IP video stream - all without needing an external IP gateway device.
- JPEG XS
The IPX-100 optionally supports JPEG XS (SMPTE ST2110-22 compliant) encoding and decoding. For remote production, where transmission bandwidth is critical, JPEG XS is an indispensable feature to preserve the visual quality of an uncompressed stream with almost no human-perceptible delay. The IPX-100 provides selectable data rate in four steps: High (1/5), Mid (1/8), Low (1/16), and Mini (1/32), allowing users to select the optimal setting according to operational conditions.
