The PF-531 link enables to transmit a HDTV/SDTV signal by digital modulation in microwave radio frequency. The modulation method includes QAM-OFDM and single carrier QAM. The input and output signals supported include digital-format and analog- format signals. Best modulation method can be chosen according to application. The design for the PF-531 is considered for incorporating codec board and will support easy adaption to future codec board changes and retrofit. It also maintains reliable operability and performances in all kinds of weather such as hot weather and rain conditions in the field.

High transmitter power

The power output is capable of up to 1.5W in single-carrier mode and 1.0W in OFDM mode.

Variety of receiver-assist display

The receiver unit outputs in NTSC format receiving-assist signals such as delay profile, constellation, spectrum, BL (receiver input power level), MER (modulation error ratio), MARGIN (receiving margin), etc.
*The NTSC receiving-assist monitoring functionality is mutually developed with Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc.

Easy adjustment for best antenna direction

Both the receiver RF and control units have a MER meter. The Ikegami MER meter device is sensitive enough to meter low input power level nearly at 0dB C/N, which makes it easy to adjust antenna direction

ASI rate converter feature

For the DVB-ASI input, the transmitter control unit has incorporated a rate converter, which allows a wide range of rate signal feed. Further, the control unit can also set the rate converter switch OFF on the front control panel.

RS-232C transmission

RS-232C signals (up to 19.2kbps) can be transmitted in an auxiliary channel in the OFDM mode. (Optional)
