The GFSTATIONTM adopts industry-standard MPEG-2 compression and MXF file format, achieving superb picture quality with full resolution HD images of 1920x1080 / 4:2:2, and can record original HD images to a removable media, GFPAKTM, or its internal flash memory.
As the recording section uses flash memory technology with excellent resistance to shock and vibration, it can be used in any place, not just in the studio, but also in an SNG or other mobile trucks.
The GFPAKTM is the newly developed flash memory recording media, offering distinct advantages over other recording media with rugged, high impact-and-vibration-resistant solid-state memory. You can record for approx. 60 minutes* with the 32GB capacity GFPAKTM.

Both 1080(50i/59.94i) and 720(50p/59.94p) HDTV recording & playback, as well as, 480(59.94i) and 576(50i) SDTV recording & playback are supported.
Format conversion is fully available with up-converter, down-converter and cross-converter for smooth integration into existing systems or expanding HDTV system solutions.
The GFSTATIONTM incorporates a flash memory board adopting the technology of the highly reliable flash memory server "ON-AIR MAXTM" (registered as "VIDEOS" in Japan) as the playout server. With a large 128GB internal flash memory, the GFSTATIONTM can achieve 4 hours recording and playback time in HD*.

Using a GFPAKTM and its built-in memory simultaneously, the GFSTATIONTM can work in multi-task mode such as recording, playing, copying and file transferring. You can simultaneously play and transfer the same data clips to an external device while copying the contents of a GFPAKTM to the built-in memory, providing excellent work-efficiency.
The GFSTATIONTM can operate as a video server, capable of time-shifted playing, IN/OUT editing, and PLAY LIST editing. The recording section has high impact-and-vabration-resistant flash memory, so it can be used in any place, not just in the studio, but also in an SNG or other mobile truck.
Jog & Shuttle control: ±1x speed noise-less jog, ±120x high speed search, and ±2x variable speed search are all available, includes user-friendly front control panel with tilt mechanism.
The 3.5-inch LCD monitor on the front panel can be used for the display of video clip, remaining capacity, audio levels, and thumbnails.
In addition, the front LCD monitor enables advanced operations such as PLAY LIST editing, IN/OUT editing, meta data checking, and proxy video* checking.

Various interfaces such as 100BASE-T / RS-422A(VDCP*, SONY Protocol) / GPI are supported for remote control from external devices. In combination with existing remote controller for VTR or linear editor, operation similar to a VTR is possible.
