Ikegami Tsushinki Co., Ltd, accomplished the live broadcasting and
program of the game.
The XIAMEN INTERNATIONAL MARATHON is one of the most important large activities in Xiamen. So Xiamen has devoted the most advanced transmission devices to get the best effect and to show the features of Xiamen abroad and in land.
As yet, the XIAMEN INTERNATIONAL MARATHON has been held for 3 times.In the first game, the analogue microwave devices were used in the live broadcasting signal transmission. Even though large amounts of the microwave devices and workers were used, the limitation of analogue technology became the obstacle of the realization of the ideal result.

This year, it was the third year of the game. As the increasing scale and influence of the game, the expectation of the live broadcast became higher and higher. The relative persons of Xiamen TV Station, the sponsor, and CCTV who was in charge of the live broadcast planed to adopt the most advanced devices for the perfect transmission effort. Through the technical discussion with manufacturer in time, the OFDM 800MHz digital microwave mobile transmission device turned to be the last and best choice for the live broadcast of the game.Ikegami Tsushinki Co., Ltd introduced the PF-503 of the ARIB-B33 OFDM 800MHzin detail by the way of product introduction, technical exchange and the trials on site. In the result, the device was chosen for the live broadcast of the event because it was technically most advanced, best for the mobile transmission, could be used as common SHF band-width microwave after the MARATHON transmission, fitted for the HDTV and adopted popularly in the globe.
On the 24th of March, two days before the game, the engineering expert of Ikegami arrived at the site, and made the last test running on site on the presiding of the Xiamen TV Station, CCTV and Xiamen Public Security Agency. The result was better than the expectation with no problem occurred that appeared in the last two games. The relative persons of Xiamen TV station and CCTV were very satisfied with the result and gave high evaluation on the PF-503.
In the whole live broadcast of the MARATHON that day, the picture quality was better than ever without any freeze frame. The live broadcast got unprecedented success.
In the live broadcast by Xiamen TV station, the announcer who narrated on site emphasized on the point that it was the first time in China the OFDM 800MHz digital microwave technology was used in the live broadcast like other advanced country Japan, Korea, and introduced the device.
After the game, the officials of Xiamen government, the leader of Xiamen TV Station and the directors of CCTV who was in charge of live broadcast gave high value on the PF-503 and agreed in accordance that the pictures it transmitted had the features of the high quality, freeze frame free and stable transmission, the live broadcast was the most successful
Apart from the live broadcast of the MARATHON later, Xiamen TV Station planned in some proper time to add SHF high frequency units for the common digital microwave usage based on the present PF-503(OFDM 800MHz).
